I'm looking for a flat panel display around 17inches. I would surely go with an Apple display, however I feel that the 15 inch Apple Studio Display is much too small for my needs, and the 22 inch Apple Cinema Display is quite pricey for me. If anyone can suggest a great 17 inch flat panel display that has a DVI interface and works with the new Macs (I plan on getting one after MWSF), I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks,
- Gecko

Also, if anyone can direct me to a few websites that carry in-depth reviews of 17 inch flat panel displays, it would help me out a lot. Thanks again!

Samsung 770TFT 17" LCD display. Bought at OutPost for $1300. Went through ebates.com for a 5% rebate. Great display. This display only has a regular VGA connector, which I believe the ATI Radeon card supports. Owned the 15" Apple LCD, way too small. This display got a very good review on cnet.com.

The SGI sure is sweet, but for price the Samsung 770TFT is hard to beat. I got one and am the envy of the family. Dad is going to scrap his Dell 21" CRT and get the Samsung. Now if I can just get him to scrap that P III Wintel box he's using...

Plus with SGI you have to use the Formac video card I believe. It does look like a nice display, though. I think the Samsung now has a $100 rebate available, and if you go through ebates, the final cost is about $1200. Very hard to beat, for that price. I have had mine for a awhile, and it's very nice.
