I just brought up my printer to school after bumming off of my roommates for the past semester. He had a HP 940c, I have an Epson 860. Epson lists this as being supported by OS X (in fact, it says that the drivers are on the OS X cd). However, when I plug it in and go to add it to my printer list, the Print Center lists it as an unsupported printer. What do I do to get OS X to recognize this printer???

Thanks.

All glory to the hypnotoad.

What Epson means is that this printer will work in X in Classic mode. They do not have drivers out for this printer for X, and at they're developing drivers for some of their other products, including scanners, they probably never will have native drivers for X. Epson has really done a crappy job developing drivers for X; it's almost as if they don't give a damn! Maybe they think they're big enough that they can afford to lose a few thousand customers!
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?
