Help!!! Que 8x4x32, Toast 4.1.2 and Retrospect

I recently purchased the above combination and to my dismay, Retrospect refuses to recognise the CDRW drive. I have all of the current drivers installed and have tried every concievable combination of extensions on/off to get the three to work. Toast works fine, but Retrospect balks - although in the "device status" window it shows the drive connected with the "proper?" driver.
Any suggestions??

this is really a horrible product in't it?
got any answers yet? I could certainly use them
