I own a sony crx-145e CD-RW firewire with discribe software which works alright but does not burn in the background. The drive its self is great, but would love to find some software which supports background burning and has a less gimicky interface. Any suggestions?

Radialogic's CD Master, which just came out, is the first and so far only Mac CD software that does background recording. However, almost as quickly as CD Master came out, Apple bought it, so it's not available any more (presumably it'll come out as Apple iBurn, iWrite or iCD or something)

Toast can do it if you check a certain option... Rebound compatible in Preferences or something?
I wouldn't bother though... too risky.

I do it all the time with CDMaster. I have even done it a few times with Toast - although the Sun and the Moon have to line up just right first. Toast is FINICKY and if you look at it the wrong way ot will burn a bad disk.
