Greetings,
I’m having a problem with my Sony 19" E400 monitor (attached to a G4 450 MP). The problem is a little hard to explain, but the image jitters a little, this is most evident in the lower right hand corner. The picture moves back and forth about a pixel each way. It almost looks like you can see it refreshing -- but it happens even at 85Hz! In OS9, I finally ended up switching to 1024x768 @ 100Hz which made it look a little better, but if you looked closely it was still there. Now that I'm running OSX it has started to really annoy me because I'm running it at 85Hz again (the monitors pane in System Preferences doesn't show 100Hz as an option, even when I deselect “Show modes recommended by display”). I’ve tried pressing the reset button on the monitor and playing with its internal menus with no luck. I can’t think of anything that could be interfering with it (I have speakers somewhat near it, but the problem persists even when I turn them off).
Any ideas? I really hope I’m not going to have to send it in for repairs. ANY input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
-Nicholas
