Hey all,

I own a Fuji FinePix 2600 Zoom (which by the way is a great little no nonsense camera). It's listed as working with Mac, and listed on Apple's website as working with OSX. I've also heard it described as working "perfectly" with a Mac on a website, but it's not listed in the iPhoto compatible cameras list. I'm looking at buying a 700/combo imac, and I'm pretty keen for my experience to be all the marketers have been promising

Does anyone have any insight into this? Surely if a camera works with OSX it will work in iPhoto? Maybe not? The Fuji 2800 is listed.... Some advice would be nice before I do something crazy like order my new imac??

it probably means that you'll need to use the image capture application to download your pictures. once they are on your hard drive, you can just import the files into iphoto.

If it isn't supported by iTunes it should be soon. The 2600Z is a very popular camera at the moment and I think even my grandfather is looking to get one. I wouldn't be put off buying the iMac if I was you.
