I have been told that Norton Disc Doctor could do more damage than good on a Firewire drive. Is this true? What about TechTool and other "doctors"?
Could there be any danger in running Speed Disk ( or similar) on a Firewiredisc.
I have a small portable 18GB Pocketsmart ( not the LaCie or VST) disc.

I have used TechTool Pro on my VST firewire drive to optimize and have not have any trouble with it. I just bought Norton's Systemworks and have not used speed disk yet.
