I was wondering if 2 USB self-powered hubs could be joined together without any problems? I have lots of USB devices, but can't find any hubs that are reasonably priced that have more than 4 ports. The 7 port hubs usually aren't self-powered or are too expensive for me. I was hoping that I could hook one hub to another so that I'd have seven open USB ports. Is this possible or just plain idiotic? Thanks for any helpful suggestions.

Yes, I have two different kinds of Belkin brand hubs, one hooked up to another. You might want to go to www.belkin.com and see what they have, they have some modular hubs that stack, you'll have to check it out for yourself to see how it gets put together. I have never had a problems with belkins if you're looking for a product recommendation, although I have not read anything of hub problems as of late, maybe everyone finally got it right.

Thanks for your help.

I've already got a mini-USB hub from MacSense that works great. I'm just going to get another (or a Belkin) and save myself some money. Those 7-port USB hubs can cost you $50 and more. Some of them use AC power too.
