Hello Folks,
Does any software exist that will allow one to drag n' drop files to a CD-RW disk...like one can do on a Windows OS machine?
For instance, I've just burned files to a CD-RW disk for back up purposes. The disk appears on the desktop locked. That said, I can't add or delete files directly from the media... What Gives?
I'm using a PM6100 w/233Mhz(Newer)card, 136Mb Ram, MacOS 8.6, and Toast Titanium 5.0.

Burn disk -vs- burn session.
Toast, in fact almost any version of it can burn multiple sessions on to the disk. Now, the more burns the harder it will be to read by older CD drives but it does what you are asking..
I think Apple's Disk Burner software does the same thing and then lets you burn it at the end of the session but its not as intuitive as Toast.
But either way it will be easier on a Mac than with your PC

Actually This has more to do with me wanting to drag and drop files into an already burned CD-RW disk in the desktop, rather thank in the Toast application. I dont have a PC, a buddy does and I've added and removed files from a RW disk on his machine, just like it was any other unlocked disk. I am in awe that on a Mac using a burner with data seems to be a digression v. using one on a PC. I'm not new to Macs...just my 1st burner. I sure hope there is something that I've done wrong so far cuz it ain't lookin' good.

you're looking for a program like DirectCD, a program that supports packet writing. you can stick a disc in an use it like a floppy.
supposedly, roxio is working on DirectCD for X, but who knows when that's coming out...
