At the Macworld expo here in Paris in the fall, someone at the HP stand told me that there would be a Mac driver for the G85 posted on HP's web site in a couple of weeks. When I check, there is indeed a link to what looks like a Mac driver, but this leads to a page where only Windows drivers are listed.

In brief, does anyone know where or how I can download a Mac driver for the G85? I don't want to buy the printer unless I have the driver in hand.

We just bought a new G85 all-in-one (2400dpi printer, scanner, copier, color fax) for our PC network at the office. And included in the box were separate manuals for both PC and Mac. Also, Mac software was included on the CDROM (USB only).

However, we also have a slightly older G85 that did not come with Mac manuals or software. You can tell if the G85 comes with Mac software and manual by looking at the outside of the box. The updated G85 w/Mac support has a more colorful box with ice cream cones going down one side (seriously). Also, Mac support is clearly labled on the outside of the box. Look for this when you're at the store and you should be fine. Regards........joe
