We all have to do it, at lest once in our mouse's short life span.

With the Apple Pro Mouse (modle # m5769), how can you clean the stuff stuck behind the little thingos that enable you to pick your mouse up while the button is down?

I'd like to know this too, I've tried to slide paper inside the semicircle grip part, but it cant get the gunky bits. Any ideas?

Look after my manor, or I will bum you, literally, to death.

I'm just giving this a bump, cuz I keep seeing the gunk under the two tabs on the side and I keep finding this article with no replies. My basic question would be: How do you take the thing apart? Thanks

I haven't dared break the thing open. But I've had some success slipping a playing card into the slot and carefully nudging the gunk through. Takes about 10 minutes to do it properly.

At the end of the day, this is a basic design flaw -- a glaring one for anyone working in a hot climate and/or with sweaty hands.

Well I feel stupid..I didn't realize that if you pushed something like a playing card in there that there was a surface it would press against so as to be able to get the gunk out. I had just assumed the whole time it was dead space behind there and shoving anythig in would be useless. thanks for the trick..worked perfectly for me.

The real question is- how do I clear gunk out of the top part of the mouse? A little crumb or something somehow got in between the layers of plastic on the main part of the mouse. Any solutions/suggestions?
