OK, I just got a Graphire2. sweet. I plugged it in, and it worked right out of the box, even in classic, even the right click and scroll wheel on teh goofy mouse worked. Cool. One thing that didn't work was the pressure sensitivity in pressure. I want my 128 levels of pressure or whatever it is!!! So I installed the X drivers, then I installed the classic drivers! I played with the setup app ,but I still can't get any sort of pressure sensitivity in Photoshop, what do I have to do? In the Wacom setup app thing you can set the sensitivity, and in there, in teh little sample box, you can draw and hte harder you push the more it goes, it just doesn't seem to work in what is basically the one app everyone (or at least me) got this thing for.

I have an Intuous(also Wacom, 6x8") and the pressure sense works fine in PS5&6 here. I think I remember a PS plug-in for the tablet, make sure it's there. Works better in Painter than PS as I recall.
I find:
Wacom Tool ID-PhotoZoom(PS Only - extensions)
I just fired up PS 6 and had the same prob as you, then I clikked on the soft-med-hard on the pad and got good pressure response when I clikked "hard". If you don't have a pad selector for pen pressure, look in the CP.
I just tried in Graphic Converter and "no-go", gotta go to work now, will check back.

Well on closer examination, i do get a pressure sensitive eraser and airbrush, but no paint brush and no other tools i noticed. This is in photoshop 6 in classic. There is also no such plugin anywhere on my HD. In photoshop 7 I get no pressure sensitivity at all. This might be because its beta and not implemented yet, or it might be from something else. Insight anyone?

I have a graphire 2 and the pressure sensitivity is odd. try just resting the pen on it nad see if that works and drag it across the tablet and increase the pressure see if that works and if it does not just go and get a new one. oh yeah don't worry abiut the scraches on the tablet they won't do anything but look odd at first then it will all look that way and you wont care, much like my iBook. hope that helps.
P.D.

Just an FYI, I also have a graphire 2 and there is a known bug in OSX that causes the entire system to lock up for 5-10 seconds every once in a while. Tech support knows about this and it still hasn't been solved since september and the new drivers. With 10.1.2 the problem happens alot less, but it is still there. Does not happen on all computers but does on my 667 Ti. Still love to use it and feel it is the ideal peripheral. I do have pressure sensitivity in PS 6 and it does work better in painter. HTH
