I've installed the Intellipoint 2.0 software for the MS Intellimouse Optical. But the software doesn't recognize that I have the MS mouse connected, therefore, it won't programs the extra buttons. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Post more info on your setup. I have an Explorer and the "Microsoft Mouse" CP works fine on my duallie with OS 9.2.2 and older. Doesn't work on OS X.anything. M$ says an OS X control panel is on the way soon.

use usboverdrive, available at the url of that name. i think I've seen it crash once on an unstable system in a few years. its the best you can do.

if it still doesn't work troubleshoot. reinstall or update your system. make sure all necessary USB HID extensions are available.
