Why would you say that?
The machine should handle the monitor just fine. And the performance (I presume you're talking about games) will not change - it'll be the same as with his old monitor, at least at the same resolution. Not everything revolves around 3D game performance, you know.
And, yes, it would be helpful though if the link worked.

I'm not talking about games, I'm talking about the full-screen desktop experience: Dashboard, Expose, etc. At 1.3 Mpix, the performance of the 9200 is not "very good."
The correct link is http://newegg.com/Product/Product.as...82E16824116373

Umm....1440x900 is not that high of a resolution. When I had my Mac Mini I used 1280x1024. It may not have been a widescreen resolution, but, if you do the math, 1280x1024 contans more pixels than 1440x900.....
1440x900=1,296,000 pixels
1280x1024=1,310,720 pixels
EDIT: by the way, my desktop experience was as smooth as butter with the G4 Mac Mini. With512mb RAM and the 32mb card, 1.25ghz proc....all running 1280x1024, which, as I mentioned, has more pixels than a 1440x900 monitor....
to the OP.....you'll be fine.
