I am so psyched! This means I can finally get a new cell phone to use with my Ti. The question is . . . which one?

Sony-Ericsson mobile phones ! All their new models are bluetooth enabled.

The new T68 seems very nice...

I'm with plx go Sony-Erricsson T68 or T68i
I just bought the T68 because it had inbuilt Bluetooth, GPRS for fast internet connections 44000 plus they say, and WAP. Also it has a full color screen and the grey casing is a perfect match with my Ti Powerbook.
But there is one catch GPRS is not supported by my carrier for Mac OSX it has to run through OS9x. Hopefully that will change soon.
Anyways I highly recommended the T68 I was always a Nokia user till I saw and used this baby.
Check out www.sonyericsson.com for more info.
if you can't be part of the solution don't be part of the problem!!!!

I'd wait if possible, the current generation of Bluetooth phones is somewhat lacking. The Ericsson t68 is probably the best of the bunch but it is missing a lot of features. Like polyphonic/MIDI ringtones instead of stupid beeps; the screen may be color, but it is tiny and ugly; and it really feels cheap and fragile. AT&T sells them in the USA with their new GSM/GPRS service they are rolling out, but I couldn't convince myself to buy one.

The t68i coming soon, maybe it'll be a little better. Motorola has an ugly Timeport that has Bluetooth... I'm gonna wait, but I do hope someone comes out with a good phone!

Thanks for responses. I am looking forward to this like it's Christmas or something.

Here's a cool pic of the T68i. Does anyone know if PCMCIA cards like this will be available for X instead of that USB nubby?

I would guess that Apple will write the software to work with the USB adaptor first to get the bugs out of the basic bluetooth drivers (a single bluetooth device would help there).

Once this is working I would expect either a) the drivers to support other bluetooth adaptors or b) the Apple bluetooth SDK will make it easy for the other manufacturers to produce OS X drivers.

I'm waiting for the BT memory stick to be released before I take the plunge. Then a phone upgrade, then a .... oh boy, there goes all my spare cash

All the BlueTooth phones are ugly as hell. Too bad Apple isn't in charge of redesigning them.
