17" LCD Blackouts!

	Running 9.2.2 on a G4 450 Sawtooth with DViator. Would like to run Norton 6 or system CD (9.2.1) as boot disk, but to no avail. Everytime the boot disks spin into action, the LCD goes black. The system boots up fine, but I can't see the desktop. Strange thing is that I can see it from the OSX 10.1 CD......and it boots from 9.2.2 (on my hard drive) without a problem. Is there something missing from those other boot disks that the monitor needs? This is a drag!
