I downloaded some MP3s off the internet. They play perfectly. The songs with titles that are too long to fit as part of the icon, however, have a different icon. The long-title icons can't be dragged into the Toast window. Do I have to transfer the file to another file type just because it has a long title?
OK - I burned the dragable songs with a half a second pause between each song. That worked out great except that every song takes about a half second to fade-in at the begining. To see if it was because I set the half second pause, i changed it to 2 seconds, burned another CD and listened to it - same result - fade-in. I read everything there is to read that came with the unit and the software. I can't find the problem. What am I doing wrong?
Last, but not least. When I put a CD in the burner it automatically plays. I've been through every menu and page I can think of, but I can't find a way to stop the CD from playing other than to eject it. Surely there are basic controls like stop, play, pause, skip and shuttle somewhere. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Kenny

The long titles are from Windoze. They allow more characters than the current Mac OS. The reason that they have a different icon is that the .mp3 tag has been cut off the end. There is no creator type in the PC world, they rely on the tags at the end of the files. If you clip off the last 4 characters on those files, and put in .mp3, they'll show up fine. Somewhere there is an extension to allow the mac to ues these long filenames.....

EXCELLENT!!!
Problem solved with the long titles - thank you.
Now if I could get to the bottom of the fade-in and control problems i'll be laughing.
Anybody???

Thanks again,
Kenny
