Mounting NTFS (WinNT) IDE disks on OS9 or X PB

does anyone know if this can be done without additional software.
i noticed OS X lacks support for filesystems other than HFS, HFS+, UFS, NFS and someother filesystem i cant recall.

This has to be possible. Why should os 9 support windows filesystems except the ntfs???
