hi everyone!

okay, now this bothers me. apple comes out with these great new displays, but add the 'specially engineered' all-in-one plug to it. so, does this mean only the newest G4's can use these displays? i checked the specs at apple, and there seems to be no other way to connect these things without that special all-in-one jack.

could someone confirm this? if this is true, i guess the only way for us G4 'classic' users to get a cinema display now is to find a used one somewhere

I could be wrong, but I believe when they mentioned all in one, I believe that they meant the cable and not the connection. I think that the video and USB will split at the end of the cable to plug in to the appropriate places...

The new displays will NOT function with anything but the New Macs. I have a G4/500 that is 3-months old and was interested in getting a larger monitor but the new ones will not work with out some type of an adaptor (no availablity stated).

In addition, Apple had discontinued the 21" Studio Display.
