Can anyone recommend a good yet inexpensive firewire enclosure/kit for a PC Hard Disk?

I'd like to turn a hard disk I have here into a firewire hard disk for my G4.

Thanks.

Yep. I recommend the ADS Pyro. It has the Oxford 911 chipset, so it is fast, if that matters to you.

According to ADS, they've only recently upgraded the enclosure to include the 911 chip, and, to make things interesting, didn't provide any obvious way to tell which is which. So it's hard to know if you'll be getting one with the 911.

One on-line vendor that carried both versions (how did *they* tell?) was charging $30 more for the 911-based version.

So be careful out there!

OS X?

Where to get it in Canada? Radio Shack is out of stock online and no stores locally carry it. (It's CAD$200, or just under US$120.) Future Shop doesn't seem to have it.

Oh, and if I format it FAT 32 for my PC will it work fine for my Mac? I assume NTFS won't work.

Try here: http://www.cooldrives.com/fir13oxcden.html (has fan and 911 bridge)

or here: http://www.compuvest1.com/engine/default800.asp?905 (unknown about 911 bridge, no fan-probably unnecessary for CDRW but perhaps desireable for HD's; also large square power button good for larger fingers)

I have and use both.

The ADS was bulky and unstylish for my taste; just an opinion since the enclosures are in plain sight all day.
