I bought a second-hand Sony Spressa CD-RW for use with my iBook because I read on this and other forums that it works well with Toast Deluxe 4.1. I'm still awaiting delivery of the drive, and decided to install Toast first. I then discovered upon reading Toast's Read Me file, that I should download the USB Mass Storage Support v1.3.5 update from Apple to avoid problems with USB drives. Problem is, my iBook came preinstalled with OS 8.6 International Engligh, and the update is only available for 8.6 US! So what should I do now? Will Toast still be able to burn CDs well through USB without the update? Why must Apple cause so much problems with this geographical differentiation?

I thought that International English is pertaining to US too. I always download updates for my iMac that are International English. I say go for it, but you didn't hear it from me!
