Hi,

I just saved an old CD-R drive from destruction and have got it for my secondhand 7300. The problem is I have nothing but the drive and a CD copy of Toast. I need to know what kind the drive is if anyone knows! The drive is a Sony External SCSI drive and on the back it says No. C103605. It's definately a CD-R produced for Macs because I got it from an old company with a mac network. I've never used a CD-R before but need to know the specs if anyone has a clue!

dude, can't you hook it up and see what Apple System Profiler or Toast says about it? That would be the fastest way to find out some info, like a model number.

With a model number, check out http://cdr.adaptec.com/cgi-bin/cdrmain.cgi for some info.
