Are Apple's new displays worth the money??
I'm deciding between the 17 inch crt, and a really nice 19 inch display that's obviously not made by apple.

Now the digital connection is definitely a plus, but I've also heard about people having problems with Apple monitors. Or I could get a VERY nice Viewsonic 19 inch monitor for a little less money. But that would just be the normal VGA connection.

What should I do!?!?!

Apple displays are of incredible quality. I should know; I have two of them. Normally, I would say that they are worth the extra money. Not this time.

The problem I have with the current Apple displays is the ADC connector. Only the new Power Mac and Power Mac Cube will work with these displays; no other computer will work. What happens if Apple decides to switch to another connector (or goes back to DVI)? You'll have to buy a new display. You won't be able to use your ADC display with your next computer. Money you could have spent on other things will be used for buying another display.

As for displays, other than Apple, I like Mitsubishi displays.

Hey Apple, go back to standard DVI and we'll buy them.
