I bought the Rio 600 digital music player and absolutely love it. It came preloaded with about 5 ot 6 songs in the Windows Media Audio format (it supports wma and mp3). Unfortunately, it only comes with 32M of memory. I am not able to fit most CD's on the unit at 128kbps mp3's, which is the lowest acceptable quality to me. The preloaded wma files were 64kbps and sounded GREAT. My question is this... Are there any converters for windows media audio available for the mac? I've tried virtual PC with windows media player 7 (final), but it crashes when accessing my DVD-ROM on my iMac DV. If anyone can help with a suggestion, please do so:-)
