Hello!

Can anybody here recommend a good display?

A display with DVI, 19 inch to 23 inch that is under $500, and non-Apple, black to mach my BlackBook?

Thanks

19" DVI, VGA, black, 1400x900. My dad has one and I can confirm it's a very nice monitor. You should be able to find it for $200.

i have been looking for one myself and it seems that a 19" widescreen flat is going to run about $200 and once you hit 20" it will rise about $100 i would say amazon or other online stores work, places with reveiws are great.

Yes, they ship to the U.S. That's really more dependant on the store you're buying it from though.

I have a Samsung 204T. It handles DVI and VGA. I have the DVI hooked up to my Mac Mini and the vga to my PC. I can then click the source button to switch between the two. 20" Black monitor, dual source ability, rotate the monitor. Can't remember all of the other features.
