I have an idea. It is going to be fun and entertaining(FOR ME), so I don't wanna hear "Why would you do that!?" and "Do this, its so much better"!!
Having said that...
OK, I don't know if the average user knows this, but many companies make PCI expansion chassis, external cases of one shape or another, some with drive bays too, that plug into a single PCI slot on your on your computer, and give you anywhere from 1 to 12 extra PCI slots. And its all hardware, it works on all computers, even a brand new G4 running 10.1, no drivers needed. The bad side is it's goona cost you $2000 to add 12 PCI slots. Thats where my plan comes in. I wanna build my self my own crazy mac, something with like, a STUPID amount of PCI slots. I can't even think of what I might do with all of them, but i'm thinking like a 7500 Motherboard, and maybe a 4 slot expander per original PCI slot for a grand total of 9 slots (think about it) The problem is price, i don't wanna pay that much. But, i'm also probably going to put this whole think in my own custom case, so I don't need any of the extras, like the need rack-able case and the 300 W powersupply that these nice onces come with. Does anyone know where to get devices like this cheap, or even better.... how to b...b...b....build one?!?!?!? This is going to be a nutty Mac... I'm not here to tell you how its going to end, i'm here to tell you how its going to begin
