QuickTake 100+ with PowerBook 1400cs

I have been trying to connect a QuickTake 100+ camera to a Powerbook 1400cs with only limited success. Using QuickTake 2.0.2 software I can establish a connection with the camera and even take a photo remotely using Camera Controls, however when I try to download the images to the PowerBook I receive a GeoPort error (-7937) asking me to make sure that the camera is connected and turned on. (I get a different error message - not mentioning GeoPort - if I try to download the images with the camera disconnected or turned off, so the PowerBook obviosly knows the camera is present)

Can anyone assist me with this problem please?
