Hey Sal,

I hope you're still frequenting this forum section. I wanted to ask you to try something with your iPod. A few of us are a bit miffed that it has no EQ, or even treble/bass settings. However, apparently iTunes 2 is able to store different EQ settings for each mp3. So we're wondering if the EQ settings actually follow the mp3 into the iPod and affect the sound?

Could you test this theory for us by moving two copies of the same song into the iPod, one with maxed EQ settings and one with minimized EQ settings? This really is the feature that will make or break my personal decision to buy one...

Also, if it turns out that iTunes does apply/transfer the settings, could you see if the mp3 has to be in a playlist for it to do so. EQ presets for mp3's in SoundJam seem to take effect in playlists only.
thanks,
-t

This is exactly the scenario I would like to get cleared up as well, once and for all. Please, Sal? This is some vital information. Thanks in advance...
