After all I read about the iPod, good and bad, I saw this just now. It seems others are always nipping at their heels.

Some may see this as worthwhile, but I would not be one of them. The article states this is aimed at music enthusiasts, who in my opinion, will have figured out how to do much of what the HP music player does already and for a lot less.

Is this thing really as useless as I think it is? This should just serve to bolster the value of the iPod.

nah, that's exactly the same as a $500 BookPC.

It's just a small, fully integrated PC.

PCchips has been making them for well over a year...
