I know Adobe PressReady doesn't support (yet) the Espon Stylus 740i inkjet.
Does anyone know of another product (StyleScript or others) that DO support this particular inkjet, giving you crisp, "non-jaggy" output from Illustrator?
In a related question, if printing directly from Illustrator to a stock 740i, will the art print jagged and dithered or does it only do that if it's imported into another program as an EPS (Quark, PageMaker, etc.)?
I'm getting massively conflicting info on this whole thing and anyone who could set me straight on Adobe Illustrator output from non-Postscript inkjets would simply make my day!

What you can od is to create a PDF and print that - works pretty well until a better "direct" solution comes along.

OR rasterize the Illustrator image in Photoshop and print from there?
I thought about that today...since it's no longer Postscript vectors and now just regular ol' pixels, maybe that'll work? It thinks it's just printing a normal photograph or other pixel-based art.
I don't know...
It seems that the 740i is a pretty popular printer, and it's very affordable. It's hard to believe that StyleScript or PressReady (or someone else) does not (as of yet anyway) support this particular inkjet.
Hmmm...

Acrobat (full version) is a great way to print postscript.

Photoshop will also work, but it is rather clumsy.

Illustrator (or Freehand) will print its own vectors smooth, but any placed EPS, bitmap or vector, will be chunky.

You's think that postscript would be standard nowadays, but everyone wants to make a buck.
