Does anyone know if the blue and white G3 supports 3D sound? If not, do you know where
I can find a Mac supported sound card with these capabilities?
thanks

The new version of Game Sprockets I believe has an option for 3D sound, under the control strip. Whenever I listen to a CD, there is an option there which allows me to enable 3D sound, anyway. I believe I remember someone saying it was a Game Sprocket functionality, but I am not certain.

Depending on what type of surround sound you desire. You can run the sound out on the back of the mac into a Pro-Logic Decoder and this will decode it into Left, Right, Center and Rear channels.

If you are looking for Dolby Digital / DTS decoding you will need a sound card with digital out such as the up and coming Soundblaster Live. There are a couple of other cared already around I think.

Either way you will need an external decoder. Once again it all depends on what kind of surround sound you are looking for and what you want to use it for (I'm guessing DVD playback?)
