You can see the iPod cost is easily justified by seeing how much the hard drive costs just by itself (same as iPod's price - $399).

Thanks for the legwork!

I think it's amazing that Apple can offer the iPod for $399 when that's how much the drive alone costs. I can't wait for mine to come!
