I have a beige G3 with a USB card, to which I have connected a HP 880c printer. All the latest Apple USB drivers are installed, as well as the latest HP drivers for this printer. It works just fine as long as I print in the foreground. If I try printing in the background, it gives me a 'not enough memory' message. I have 240megs of RAM, so I don't see how that can possibly be a problem. I've increase the memory allotted to the HP printmonitor, but that seems to make no difference. Any suggestions anyone?
