Help. my 15" monitor on my old performa 6320 turns a green shade intermittently. I still displays the windows and icons etc and I don't use it for graphics, but it is rather annoying. I like the computer because it came with a TV tuner and remote. I hope to get another computer soon but would like to know what the cause is and whether I should bother fixing it.

does the monitor not display any red at all? i've had this happen before.. the display circuits tend to die after a while.. always make sure to check your cables first though.. if not call apple and i still believe they will cover this

Call Apple and see what you can get... My Performa 6400's 15" monitor is doing the same thing... Yes, it is the red dying out... It really sucks... Mine started out with it just blinking from time to time, now it's completely gone...

i had this happen with a brand-new 15" apple monitor some years ago, they drop-shipped me a new one three days later, i still have it... (works, but is kinda old and crummy now and i hardly ever use it) you might be covered even to this day on the green-screen issue, i am not sure... give apple some well-aimed trouble about it...
and search the fora for my old post here about this issue...

oops! just noticed this thread belongs in the peripherals forum and has been transferred there!

THE NEXT POST is real smooth, like i did not already say what he said! nice job of reading there, 'in the flesh'!

i had the same problem a few years ago. it is a known issue by apple. just take it to an autorized technician but they will just end up sending it to apple. it will be a free fix though
