I'd like to buy a 23" Cinema Display but I'm not at all sure now is a good time. It's been quite a while since the Cinema Displays have been updated and they are due for a change. Of course the problem is there are no rumors or talk of when this will happen. What adds to the confusion is the MacPro uses the same case as the Powermacs which match the current Cinema Display line.
I can use a 17" display that I have but I wonder if the displays will change before the MacPro case is changed,

Ummm, they just had a price cut and quiet update. Some of the specs like contrast ratio, brightness, etc. were updated.

Well, they're a pretty darn good price now. I imagine that if a new line of displays is introduced that the price will go up dramatically.

I just returned a 23" ACD because of severe "image persistance". From what I've read be sure to order it from Apple online. The stores have old stock (old specs) which have these issues. Though some are reporting the new ones have image persistance problems still. Some have returned the 23" ACD six times before getting a good one. I don't have that kind of patience, so I stopped with the first one. Consisdering the Dell 24" next, or go back to a 20".

Wow, I never knew that about the ACDs. That sucks. I suppose that is part of the reason why I still usse CRTs. (I am also incredibly cheap.)
