When I boot up, my monitor stays black (not off or in power save), and stays that way until I put the computer to sleep and wake it up agian.

I have dealt with this for a while now and am finally fed up. I am assuming it is a driver problem that must be fixed by apple but maybe someone will have another suggestion. I know it is similiar to others' problems with apple displays.

It is a SGI 1600SW with multilink plugged in via DVI (and ADC to DVI cable) to a Quicksilver 867 with Geforce 2 Twinview. My other monitor plugged in simultaneously to the VGA out works fine. This is with OS9.

Also, the rightmost 10 or so pixels are instead shown on the left of the SGI LCD. I haven't heard of this anywhere else but it is less annoying than having to put my computer to sleep and wake it up every time I boot.

If anyone has experienced similiar or has any suggestions, please help. I'm stumped. Thanks.

How about those of you who have apple LCDs, I know some of you experienced the same problem, were you able to fix it?
