I've got a problem with the "LaCie Bigger Disk Extreme with Triple Interface 1TB".
Some time ago, the drive started just not activating. Everything was running, the drive was switched on, but it didn't show up. Then again, restarting the Mac or the drive mostly helped. However, some weeks ago, the problem intensified. It just happened more often. Somehow, we got the drive running, but it took time and felt bad.
We also tried switching cables - no positive change of the situation.
And we tried switching ports, trying both the Firewire400 and the USB 2 port, which didn't help either.
One note: When the drive was running, it was running perfectly, the speed was perfect and there were no problems at all.
I called up a dealer and they said it might be a problem with the Firewire Bridge, but they were not sure.
Any other ideas? Any possible Firmware problems? Any updates we might need on our Macs?
