Hey, Im looking to get a hard drive and fire wire enclosure for my upcoming sound design class. What i need to know is what kind of hard drive would be best for things of that nature and also wont break the bank. I also need a firewire enclosure that will fit it. Thanks for any help you might have

Any 7200RPM 3.5" drive should be fine as far as performance goes.

I like this $43 enclosure or this $50 enclosure. Both have USB and Firewire, so just pick which color/style you like better.

I like Seagate for drives since they are the only manufacturer to back their drives with a 5 year warranty. Pick whatever capacity you want/can afford from this page.
