Anybody know if the Nomad Jukebox is supported in iTunes2? I think I'm going to cancel my iPod order and go for a Jukebox. I already have a Nomad II MG about 2hrs or music w/128mb card. Plenty for the gym or kayaking. The jukebox would be a second stereo system.
Beside the online Apple store told be 3-4 weeks. But they are going to be in stores on the 10th??? Sorry Apple.

First off, the Apple store estimations in my experience have hardly been accurate either direction. I've had things arrive overnight that are marked as a week behind, and things in stock take a week. Anyway, the Apple store will probably start shipping along with the other retail stock.

As far as the Nomad Jukebox goes- I would take a bit to rethink it. I've owned one for a while and here are my biggest problems with it:

-No "All Songs" listing
-Slow user interface (especially while music is playing)
-Big, unwieldy
-Battery life of ~3 hours (uses 4 AA size NIMHs that aren't near as efficient as li-ion)
-Mac versions of firmware updates lag behind the Windows ones significantly

I was once against the iPod, saying its just another mp3 player, but as I look back at my frustrations with the Jukebox- I realize that Apple has addressed a whole lot of things that people (including myself) wouldn't notice for a while.

Hifi.com where I ordered the Jukebox from has a 30 day return policy. That way I can tell if the Nomad is right for me. If not return it. Go to Westfarms mall and say gimme an iPod.
