I have been waiting (seemingly forever) for a Que FireWire CD-RW drive. After the latest delay, I can't wait any longer for something to back my system up with. After reading of all the problems with the USB version of this drive, I don't feel that this is a viable solution. I bought my iMac DVSE running OS 9 just before Christmas and have yet to back my system up.

I know that Castlewood hasn't exactly been hitting homeruns in the "promises kept" department, but I'm starting to feel like a USB Orb drive might be my best solution (I only wish they would come out with a FireWire version of this drive). At least Retrospect is compatible.

The last post I saw in this forum was one from last November that said v1.2.6 of Orb Tools solved all the instability problems. Does anyone have recent experience with this drive in USB configuration running OS 9? If so, would you recommend this to someone looking to buy? Any info would be appreciated.
