Hello!

I'm in the marketfor a SCSI CDRW for my G4. I have the adaptec 2906 SCSI card. Yamaha was highly recommeded, but I have read several messages about drives gone bad. On the the other side hear great thing about the Plextor (also sold as Imation). At least on the PC side they like all the great features. Most I don't really understand (Raw, hi speed DOA recordering etc.)

So, I'd appreciate any comparison between these two manufacturers. I don't do alot of burning, but I'm probably going with an 8x even though 12x are now available. RW would be a nice feature for daily back-ups and VCDs.

Thanks in advance.

Jerry
