a few months ago, I asked if external Firewire HDs will fit inside Sawtooth AGP towers with int. firewire (yeah, weird, but I was just curious). Now, with the iPod, you can do just that and place that sucker where either where the Zip drive or other internal HDs would be. You can even place it above the DVD drive.
The only problem is whether or not the materials used in the iPod can safely withstand and heat. I'm guessing that's a yes, b/c if you're going to stick that sucker in your pocket for hours at a time, it should be rated to withstand temps above 100 F.
Now, why would I want to do something silly like this and place an iPod inside my tower? Well, I have 2 reasons. One is b/c I can. Two is b/c I might not want to bring it with me and want to put it in a safe place. This is assuming you lock down your G4 too. Now, I know these reasons are stupid, but I thought I bring it to everyone's attention.
