Cnet Report:

"Amid slackening shipments, photo giant Agfa will exit the digital camera and consumer scanner markets in North America by year's end. "

Dammit! That means NO OS X driver support for their SnapScan 1212 u! Great, so I'll have to buy a new scanner down the road...

I have an Agfa EPhoto CL30 digital camera too. Crappy, (got it for free) but it uses CompactFlash cards that I put into my VST Tri-Media Reader.

...waiting for VST to release an OS X driver (tried the beta...card reader don't work) for that too!

Ok, I've let off my steam...

When I checked last week your scanner has a beta OS X driver on the agfa site. Heck if it works burn you a copy on a cd so you will always have it. I went looking for your scanner 2 weeks ago and could not find one anywhere, no magazine, store, etc. I wanted to support these guys because they did have beta drivers for scanners for OS X but it is diffently a no go.

EPSON promised drivers for their scanners in a few more weeks - so I will buy one of theirs probably right after xmas (providing they do in fact come out with OS X.1 drivers)

Yeah, I did just download it. It's beta. Also, since Adobe hasn't given us a clue about when Photoshop for OS X will come out this beta is pretty useless. I really don't think there is an inport plug-in for a program that doesn't exist yet...true? Maybe GraphicConverter for OS X...ugh...

...sorry for the double post guys... :o

You are using a toy OS that nobody makes drivers for.

What the hell do you expect.

Get a real computer with a decently supported OS and then you won't have to complain all the time.
