to touch back on a subject which has been discussed before (with no clear answer thus far):
i have a belkin 4-port usb hub (powered) with a powered zip 100 drive and a usb-serial concerter and a fdd floppy drive (no power possible on that drive). the problem: when i connect the floppy drive to the hub i get the message that the floppy drive will not work because something hasn't got enough power. everything else works dandy.interstingly, when i connect the floppy directly to the ibook it runs just fine. just the *powered* hub seems to have a problem with it. i am running - and have been since well before i got the hub and the floppy - 9.0.4. my question: is there a solution? if not: did i buy the wrong hub or floppy drive?

rofga, I have a Microtek X/6 scanner that I use with my B&W G3/9.0.4 and It works great when connected to the keyboard or directly to the tower, but when I connect it to my 4-port Belkin hub, it will never complete a scan, I get an error msg/freezes/crashes also. But everything else that I have connected to the hub.......an Epson 860 printer, Intellimouse optical , and kensington Webcam work fine with the hub. So I just think that some devices do not like hubs, and others dont have a problem with them.....go figure...........HTH
