Always impressed by the look and sound of these speakers in stores. Now I finally got them. I posted a long winded review on Amazon but I'll keep this short and sweet.

• They sound great. Best 2.1 "PC speakers" I've heard. Beats 2.1 offerings from Klipsch and Logitech.
• Style, of course, matches my Apple Cinema HD Display awesomely.
• Large range of adjustability with the bass and treble. As little or as much as you desire (I can't imagine using more than 50% treble though, the highs become overwhelming).
• Some reviewers claimed "buzzy" or "boomy" sounding bass. I don't find that to be true. I think it sounds deep and rich, taking into account the power and size of the hardware (my Z-5500's 188-watt 10" sub is richer, but that's comparing mangos and pineapples ). Subwoofer doesn't create any odd vibrations, though it is sitting on a carpet for me.
• No electric buzzing/humming from any part of the system while on or off.
• Build quality appears good, but they are a little cheap feeling.
• Cables are long, almost too long for me. Very thick, not likely to wear out.
• Control pod features a digital volume control knob. It works alright but adjusts volume in notches, which provides less precise control. I hate notches.

Overall: quite satisfied. They're a great deal at around $180 shipped.

Thanks for the review. I love the way they look, but it's hard to really test them in the apple store, so I appreciate all the detailed info. I'll keep 'em at the top of my list when I need new speakers, or more room. For now, I'm happy using a Griffin PowerWave to hook my PowerBook directly to my wonderful (if large and heavy and 30 years old) stereo speakers.
