i have a lombard powerbook running 10.1 and i just found out that my orange micro firewire pc card works with my camcorder and imovie. does anyone know if this setup will work with the ipod? or do i HAVE (heh) to by a new powerbook g4 to make it work?

apple's system requirements for the ipod are: "Apple computer with built-in FireWire port".
