Here's a little snippet of info for anyone who has a BOA Firewire CDRW.

Whilst the BOA drive works fine, the Mat****a mechanism used in it is unsupported by Toast Deluxe 4.0. The drive comes with 4.0.1.1 which works fine but only provides a subset of the full Toast functionality. This means that if you want to burn ISO9660 format or mixed mode disk or many other formats, you can't.

However...

Toast Deluxe 4.02E does support the drive, and providex the full Toast functionality!.

I note with interest and dismay that this version is not available from Adaptec as an upgrade to Toast Deluxe 4.0, if you want it you will have to go looking (ahem).

Why do different versions of Toast support different mechanisms?, why is there not a universal updater that will add support for new mechanisms to any version of Toast? - comments from Adaptec would be very welcome.
