I'm sort of disheartened.

The debut of the iPod in stores and such is supposed to be this Saturday. Right now, my iPod is in a huge bulk shipment of iPods coming from Taiwan - it's in transit this moment.

My concern comes from my experience with the debut of the Titanium - mine and MANY other people's G4s were holed up in Alaska waiting to be released from customs: my Next Day shipping had become a three-week battle to figure out what the hell was going on.

Well, now there's a huge shipment of iPods in midair coming in to Alaska (I believe). Will that shipment suffer the same fate of the shipment of Titaniums? Or will they manage to come through by Saturday for all those who will be at the Apple stores and waiting at home for FedEx?

Would love to hear from others who've gotten stiffed from Apple's use of FedEx/IP Direct before.
