My old Mac has become my jukebox now. It's on almost all the time, and is piped into the stereo that plays throughout the house. I love the setup.
While I'm at it, I thought it would be cool if the computer could announce, via speech synthesis, the origin of phone calls. (e.g. "Attention: Call from William J Clinton in New York, New York")
Does anyone know:
(1) if my built-in modem is capable of Caller ID? (It's a Powerbook Wallstreet)
(2) if not, what modems are?
(3) what Mac software, for OS 9 or, preferably, OS X, is capable of interfacing to a Caller ID modem to extract the information?
