Hi,

I have a Samsung ML1210 attached to a Windows XP machine. Printer is shared.

On my Macbook, I can detect the shared printer and successfully added it.

When I send a print job from the Macbook, the Data led on the printer blinks for a while then nothing happens. On the Macbook print queue status, it shows print job done. On the Win XP machine, print job is done also.

Anything I missed out here while adding the printer?

The Windows machine probably isn't passing things to the printer because your Mac isn't using the right print queue name. Go into the printer setup on the MacBook and change the queue name from its automatically generated value to "LPT1" (without the quotes). That should do it for you.

MOST Windows printer drivers (through which you are going to share the printer) are hard coded to run off of LPT1.

Where do I find this printer-queue that I can edit? I found printer queue under Name & Model - ML-1200 however it is not an editable field.
